Please note that if you wish to marry at Angsana Balaclava Mauritius you will need to be at the resort from four days prior to your ceremony.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Weddings are held everyday except on Public Holidays and Weekends and are subject to availability.
  • Only ONE wedding to be held per day at the resort.
  • Weddings during peak season on request basis only.
  • Full prepayment of the package is required to secure the wedding date. This must be made before arrival. 
  • Please note that the wedding package rates are per couple (2 persons). Small groups or larger parties will be quoted on request basis.
  • Any other requirements for the wedding are to be arranged on an “A la Carte” basis by the hotel only and to be paid separately at the resort.
  • All package details, rates and policies are subject to change without prior notice, at the re-sort’s discretion.
  • Minimum number of guests: bride and groom. Maximum number of guests: 400, but you must book the whole hotel in exclusivity. 

The resort do offer legal, civil weddings as well as blessings, and provide the following requirements:
  • All documents stated below should be sent at least 8 weeks prior to arrival in Mauritius and have to go to Port-Louis 3 working days before the wedding date.
  • It is very important that the couple brings all original copies with them in Mauritius. 
  • All the relevant documents must be in English and be less than three months old.
  • Translated documents must be done by an official translator and accompanied by the original one. 
Requested documents: 
  • Copies of both passports (passport number, picture, issue & expiry dates) 
  • Birth certificates 
  • If divorced: The former marriage certificate and divorce decree.
  • Applicable to all divorced women or widows: The wedding can only be celebrated 300 days after divorce decree/from the date of death certificate of spouse or else should be holder of a medical certificate stating no pregnancy. This medical certificate must be issued in Mauritius. Additional cost will apply for the arrangements. 
  • If the couple has changed their name by deed poll: Proof is required. 
  • If the couple is under 18 years of age on the date of the marriage: An affidavit, granting permission for the wedding to take place, is required. 
  • If the couple has been adopted: An adoption document needs to be produced. 
  • Notarial deed (if needed)
The wedding planner can assist you in organising any of the legal aspects of your wedding. The cost of this will be £415 includive of VAT and service charge.
